Inspired By #111

With earth day coming up on April 22nd I went with an Earth Day themed inspiration photo:

How will you be inspired?  colors, pop, recycling, Earth Day, sketch, beverage, large title...

I went with the sketch and created this layout of my daughter passing her learner's test, yay!  I used the Sightseeing Stew collection by Jillibean Soup, along with a Tim Holtz stamp set, a Silhouette cut and the key is cut with my Cricut.

Can't wait to see what you create!

Inspired By...#83

It is time for another inspiration challenge and I know I always say this, but I love this one.

How will you be inspired? colors, sketch, crochet, gingham, flowers...

For my project I created this quick and easy card based on the sketch of the pillow and the prints - I always love some gingham (that is my wishing I was a 'farm girl' in a big farm house). I used my Kate & Company Cambridge collection by My Mind's Eye, along with a Wise Word by Jillibean Soup and a Silhouette cut.  Aren't these papers so pretty?

Now I can't wait to see what you create!

Inspired By...#61

Time for another Inspired By challenge.  Since it is coming up to Valentine's Day I chose one with a heart...although it does not have to be taken that way.

How will this inspire you? Heart, colors, stitching, button, wood, fabric, gingham...

I went with the gingham to create my card.  I used some Grandma's Lima Bean Soup and Winter Tortellini & Spinach both from Jillibean Soup.  The little tag is a PTI die.  The gingham panel is mounted with foam tape.

This is also for the City Crafter Challenge - friendship and the Moxie Fab inspiration challenge:

Now being that this is the first challenge of the month there will be a prize.  I have a 'love themed' and a 'friendship' stamp set from There She Goes up for grabs so be sure to play along for your chance to win!

Can't wait to see what you do.

Inspired By...#60

With the approach of the Super Bowl I thought this was a good inspiration photo.

Where will the inspiration take you? colors, sports, felt, lettering, coffee, texture...

For once I didn't go with the colors, although I did start there but I quickly swayed and ended up with this card.  I used my Game Day Chili collection that came in one of my Card Kitchen kits.  I just kept playing around and this is what I came up with.  It was one of those nights when everything just fell into place, love when that happens.

I can't wait to see what you do!

Inspired By....#59

I decided to move away from the fashion inspiration that I have had the last couple of weeks.  This week we are going more masculine in the inspiration.

How will you be inspired? numbers, circles, the colors, color blocking, spokes, metal...

This week I am very happy to have a Guest Designer joining me.  She plays along with many of my challenges and is a big supporter of my own blog.  Please welcome Rose Miller.  Her card picks up on the colors, I love that Eiffel Tower stamp, it makes me want to go back to Paris!

Thank you Rose for joining me this week.  If you haven't checked out her blog, you may want to hop on over. She has a very active blog and you won't be disappointed.

Now for my project, I picked up on a few things.  Obviously the colors, but the roulette wheel made me think of spokes on a bike, I also pulled out the numbers and incorporated a bit of metal with my Tim Holtz tiny attacher.  I used the new Irish Farmhouse Soup collection by Jillibean Soup along with some Unity SMAK stamps and of course some Twine.

I can't wait to see what you do!

Inspired By....#50

We are right in the middle of a big kitchen renovation so this inspiration piece really speaks to me ;)

How can you take this?  the icons? colors? kitchen feel? collage? grid? I can't wait to see.

I decided to go with the colors and the baking theme and started getting ready for my Christmas baking (that is if my kitchen is done) by creating a little treat box to give them in.  I used my Winter Tortellini & Spinach Collection by Jillibean Soup.  The template is by Perfect Presention, the stamps are from Papertrey Ink and I cut the tag with my Tags, Bags, Boxes and More 2, the rolling pin with the From My Kitchen and finally the Gingerbread Man with my Gingerbread - all of them cricut cartridges.  Finally it is all tied up with some Jute Twine.

I can't wait to see what you create.

Inspired By...#45

I was really drawn to these milk containers and thought they would make such a great inspiration.

I love the retro feel, the text, the colors and the pennants on these... which way will you go?

I had a lot of ideas when I first pinned the picture but in the end I went with the pennant with a single word.  I used my cricut to cut out the word and backed it with some Country Pumpkin Chower by Jillibean Soup.  I then used a bit of May Arts Woven burlap ribbon, which I stretched out, along with a stamp from Technique Tuesday, some Jute twine and of course the buttons are from PTI.  The main panel is mounted of foam squares for dimension.

I am playing along with the following challenges:
The Pink Elephant - Fall inspiration
Die Cuttin Divas: Fall colors (for me orange, brown and kraft)
CASology: Leaf

I can't wait to see what you come up with.

Inspired By #41

I know we are almost into fall, but we are still able to buy fresh local blueberries here so this Pinterest photo really caught my eye.

Ways to interpret this challenge: circle elements, food, the sketch, the colors, a distressed painted background...

I was drawn to the colors and I immediately thought of my Varsity collection by Jenni Bowlin, available at Jessica Sprague.  I made an 'officey' style card along with some matching bulldog clips.  I cut the tie and the letters with my cricut (Wrap it Up and Plantin Schoolbook).  The sentiment stamp is from PTI and the stickers are from Jillibean Soup.

I can't wait to see what you do!

Inspired By #39

Welcome to another Inspiration challenge.  We start back to school here next week so I was really inspired by this photo.

Where can you go with this? pencils, rainbow, triangles (a trend right now), pennants, woodgrain...

My final project is nowhere near where I thought I would end up when I started, LOL! I thought I was going to do a Back to School project but as you can see, I am far from it!  I ended up going with a lot of color and using the Grandma's Lima Bean Soup collection by Jillibean Soup. I have also used some V Striped Twill and a bit of Jute Twine (all available at the Ribbon Carousel), a Papertrey Ink die along with some Unity stamps to finish it off.  My mom turned 70 this year and I took advantage of everyone being together to get a shot of her with all of her grandkids.

I can't wait to see what you do this week.

Inspired By #38

Not that I want to rush or anything but fall is just around the corner as is school start up for me so... I thought this would be a great inspiration photo.  Have to say though I do love fall so I am looking forward to it.

Inspiration options: apples, grid, colors, gingham, plaid, paper piecing, texture....

For my project I created a Back to School notebook for myself.  Always handy to have one just for jotting down ideas from staff meetings and such.  I have used a mixture of Jillibean Soup papers and elements (Grandma's Lima Bean, Winter Tortellini & Spinach, Soup Staples) and I cut the apple with my Cricut.  I have also used some May Arts Jute Twine and Printed Twill, don't you love that all of this is available at the Ribbon Carousel... including the collection pack - one stop shopping!  Finally, the small apple die that I used for the negative strip is from PTI and the tab die is from My Favorite Things.

I used Kimber's 2Peas sketch for the front of my notebook cover:

I can't wait to see what you do this week.

Inspired By #27

Another fun inspiration challenge for you this week.

I wonder where this will take you? The colors, the limes, cakes, sweet things, the sketch?

For my project I used my Coconut Lime Soup Collection by Jillibean Soup and scrapped these fun photos I took one evening when we got together with hubby's family.  My SIL and her family are always snapping photos of themselves, I tend to like the non posed ones that really tell the story. Laughter really is the best medicine and we always have a lot when we are together.  I have also used a bit of twine and the brown letters are from Amy Tangerine.  I cut the pennants with my Cricut Art Philosophy.

Last weekend Creative Scrappers had an online crop, I didn't have time to take part but I really like the sketches so I used one of them for this layout.

Now this is the first challenge of the month so I have a prize up for grabs, some 6 X 6 pads of Jillibean Soup.

Now I can't wait to see what you do!
