Inspired By...#119

Welcome to this week's Inspired By Challenge.  With Canada Day coming up on July 1st I was inspired by red this week.

How will you be inspired?  vintage, checks, gingham, colors, kitchen...

I went with the vintage feel and the colors and patterns to create this fun thank you card.  Now I am all ready for anyone who hosts a Canada Day party!  I used the Americana and Basics collections by Pebbles, along with some Papertrey Ink stamps and dies.  The lace edge on the 'tablecloth' is from an old hankie.  In order to paper piece the jar and strawberries, I used my Xyron 150.  To hold the straw and clip in place I used some of my Xyron Adhesive dots and finally, for the large pieces, a strip from my Xyron Mega Runner before sewing.

I can't wait to see what you create!

Inspired By #118

Time for another Inspiration Challenge.  I have been wanting to use this one for awhile.  What a fun crib!

How will you be inspired? woodgrain, stars, moon, color, baby...

I was pretty literal with this one.  I used the Special Delivery Boy with woodgrain paper from the Lakeside collection both by Pebbles.  I cut the moon and large star with my Silhouette.  The stamp is from Technique Tuesday.

I can't wait to see what you create!

Isn't this a pretty room?  Love the soft feel and all the different prints.

How will you be inspired?  colors, polka dots, flowers, quilt...

I pulled out the colors and mixed different patterns by using the You Are My Happy collection by Teresa Collins.  I thought they were perfect for the inspiration.  I used a butterfly die from MFT as well.

Of course I used my Xyron Mega Runner and Adhesive dots to adhere the papers before stitching.

I was inspired by this sketch at Techno Stamper:

Inspired By #116

I have never been a coffee drinker and have always liked tea.  Lately I have really been enjoying some of the fabulous flavors of loose leaf tea so I chose this photo as Inspiration this week:

How will you be inspired? text, tea, graphic, colors, sketch...

I went with a tea them and used my Flea Market collection by Crate Paper along with a PTI stamp and a Silhouette Cut File.  Most of my friends are tea drinkers like me so I know this will come in handy one day.

Can't wait to see what you create!

I love spring and I love, love, love lilacs!  The lilacs a blooming in abundance around here so I chose this photo as my inspiration today. (Love this photo too, wish it was my garden!)

How will you be inspired?  bike, flowers, colors, spring..

I went with the colors and used the Black & White collection by Glitz to create this fun encouragement card.  Kind of an inspiration for myself since I just joined on as a Jamberry consultant (which I am loving!).  The scribbles are cut with my Silhouette.

Inspired By... #114

Hi everyone, welcome to another Inspired By Challenge.  This week I decided to take some inspiration from a mom themed image. I love the quote!

How will you be inspired?  mother's day, birds, quote, sketch, colors, text...

I decided to pick up on the Mother's Day theme and the birds.  I used my Garden Party collection by Pebbles along with a die cut from Silhouette and some Divine Twine.

I am playing along with this week's Color Q challenge:

Inspired By #112

I just signed up as a Jamberry consultant and have been having a lot of fun creating collages with some fashion and nail combos.  I decided to use one as some inspiration today.  We are definitely still getting April showers and I am very ready for some May flowers!

How will you be inspired?  colors, spring, flowers, umbrella, fashion...

I pulled out the navy and pink (such a fresh combo) and used the Pen Pals collection by Pink Paislee, along with some MME enamel dots, and a Silhouette cut.

I can't wait to see what you create!

Inspired By #110

With Easter coming up I decided to go with a bunny inspiration.  Aren't these guys cute!

How will you be inspired?  bunnies, floral, shabby chic, cottage, gingham, colors... so many ways to take this inspiration.

I used my Vintage Bliss collection by Simple Stories to create a fun spring card.  I used a Silhouette file, a Technique Tuesday stamp and some Twinery Twine.

Inspired By #109

I am back!  What a busy month March was!  My daughter and I had a great time in Europe, it was a jam packed 10 days of touring. We loved to visit the big cities of Paris and London but both of us are small town girls at heart and much prefered the smaller towns of Normandy!

Anyhow onto the new challenge.   I went with an April showers theme because I loved this umbrella when I saw it!

How will you be inspired?  Umbrella, spring, rain, stripes, bow, colors...

I went with the colors and girlie feel of the umbrella and created this card with the new All Dolled Up collection by Glitz.  A CAS card for me, limited layering and no stitching!  That doesn't happen often, LOL

I was inspired by this week's sketch at Sweet Sunday:

I am also playing along at Naughty or Nice:

Now being the first challenge of the month I have a prize up for grabs!  This week you are playing for a

$10 gift certificate to Elle's Studio!

Another travel themed inspiration as I am counting down the days until I leave for Europe (22 days!).  Can't wait to see the real London buses!

How will you be inspired? cityscape, colors, vehicles, travel...

I pulled out the colors and used the Jenni Bowlin Photo Freedom collection by Echo Park, along with a Unity SMAK kit (You can do anything) along with a PTI die.

I can't wait to see what you create!

Inspired By... #107

Tomorrow is Valentine's day so I wanted some sort of heart themed challenge, but I didn't necessarily want it to only be a Valentine one...when I saw this photo I knew it would be perfect!

How will you be inspired?  hearts, clean & simple, stripes, colors, pop of color...

I chose to go with the colors and create a baby boy card.  I used the Summer Stories and Stationary Noted collections by Teresa Collins along with some dies from My Favorite Things and Divine Twine.

I can't wait to see what you create!

Inspired By...#106

Can you believe that this photo is a cake?!  I love it.  I warn you, you just might be seeing a few travel inspired photos in the next month as in just over a month my daughter and I leave for Europe (France and London) for a whirlwind school trip!

How will you be inspired?  travel, colors, banner, cake...

I went with the colors and a travel theme to create my card.  I used the new Now & Then Mildred collection by My Mind's Eye along with a few different Unity Stamps - a couple of SMAK kits and the Eiffel Tower and script stamp are singles that can be purchased.  The Chicken Wire die is from MFT while the butterfly one is from PTI.  I used my Cricut to cut out the tag and Roses (Art Philosophy and Tags, Bags, Boxes and More).  The twine is from Divine Twine.

Inspired By...#105

When I saw this inspiration I had to use it right away!  I think the colors are just so yummy!

How will you be inspired?  colors, check, metal, food, two...

I had to use the colors as I just love this combo! I hardly ever use any shade of purple in my creations but I love it with the navy and grays.  I created a teen themed card.  I used some Front Porch by Pebbles along with some plain cardstock. I embossed the card base with a woodgrain plate from Papertrey Ink.  I then stamped the SheArt Print Texture background on some gray cardstock. I cut a tag shape from some pattern paper and stamped the paint spots from the Epic Moments SMAK kit  and then layered the sentiment, some messy thread and some denim scrap. The flowers are from the Art Philosophy cricut cartridge and the sentiment die is from My Favorite Things.

I am linking up to the Simon Says challenge: Twine or String.

Inspired By.... #104

LOVE the feeling of this photo, so cool and relaxing.

How will you be inspired? colors, feeling, quilt, texture...

I thought of winter when I saw the photo and thus went with the cool colors and a winter theme.  I also picked out the plates on the wall with my die cut circle panel and the stitching behind the panel picks up on the quilt.  I used my Stationary Noted (well scraps of... not much left) by Teresa Collins along with some Silhouette cuts and the new White Divine Twine.

I can't wait to see what you create!

Inspired By...#101

Happy New Year!
I hope everyone had a safe and happy new year.
I am really looking forward to the upcoming year.

With winter in full swing (although I have to say our weather has been pretty awesome here!) I like the warm cozy feel of this photo. Nothing better on a cold winter day than wrapping up with a warm blanket.

How will you be inspired? layers, stripes, colors, texture...

I went with the colors and the horizontal layering and created a masculine birthday card.  I used my Lost & Found Record It Antique by My Mind's Eye along with some stickers from SRM Stickers (Say it With Stickers and Express Yourself New Years; Sentiment/Happy Birthday) and a My Favorite Things Die.

Inspired By...#100

I can't believe this is the 100th challenge here on Inspired By!!!  I have had a lot of fun coming up with, creating for and seeing what you all have created for all of the challenges!

I love these upcycled stockings and thought they would make a good inspiration piece.

How will you be inspired? sweater, stocking, texture, buttons, colors...

I was inspired by the colors and the sweater.  I cut a swatch from a thrift store sweater and created this card from the Elle's Studio Noel collection and the December kit.  The stamps and dies are from Papertrey Ink and the twine is from May Arts.

I can't wait to see what you create!

Now since this is the 100th challenge there is a prize up for grabs!
The winner will receive the entire Noel collection including the stamp (no wood veneers as they are sold out)!!!
