Inspired By... #70

Time for another challenge and in honor of Autism Awareness Month I chose some blue inspiration for you.

So how will this inspire you? colors, flowers, pleats, stripes, CAS...

I went with the colors and flowers to create this sassy card.  I used my Family Ties collection by Pebbles along with a couple of  Unity stamps and a Cricut Die cut.  The lines under her feet, 'shadow lines' have been stitched.

I can't wait to see what you do!

Inspired By...#69

Wow, here we are in April already!  When I think of April, I think of April showers, rainbows, spring flowers... This inspiration photo really popped out at me.

I really had a lot of different ideas for this: tags, boots, rainbow, sketch, grid, pairs...

I played around a bit and this is what I came up with.  I went with the rainbow and the sketch/layout of the photo.  I used my Pebbles Basics Cardmaking pads along with a Technique Tuesday stamp.

I can't wait to see what you create!

Now being that it is the first challenge of the month there will be a prize.

Inspired By...#66

I have another fashion inspired challenge again this week.  This one made me think of spring, can't wait to start wearing my spring clothes.

How will you be inspired: polka dots, buckles, colors, dangles, purse, ruffle?

I pulled out the color and the earrings made me think of dangly things so I went with some banners across the top of my card.  Now these are not normally colors I would put together and am not totally sure I love the card.  But that is what this challenge is all about, challenging you to go out of your box.  Once again, I went to my Pebbles collections.  This time I have used Walnut Grove and some of the Basics.

I can't wait to see what you do!

Inspired By... #62

Happy Valentine's Day!

Welcome to another Inspired By Challenge.  I am really into gray lately and I love these colors.

How will you be inspired? colors, texture, grid, fabric, crochet...

I knew right away that I was going to use my Seen & Noted by Pebbles, and was just going to stick to the gray and yellow but I snuck in this flowered paper as well.  I cut the smile sentiment with my Silhouette.  I was totally inspired by Danni Reid's card and used it as my sketch.  I love Danni's work!

Inspired By...#61

Time for another Inspired By challenge.  Since it is coming up to Valentine's Day I chose one with a heart...although it does not have to be taken that way.

How will this inspire you? Heart, colors, stitching, button, wood, fabric, gingham...

I went with the gingham to create my card.  I used some Grandma's Lima Bean Soup and Winter Tortellini & Spinach both from Jillibean Soup.  The little tag is a PTI die.  The gingham panel is mounted with foam tape.

This is also for the City Crafter Challenge - friendship and the Moxie Fab inspiration challenge:

Now being that this is the first challenge of the month there will be a prize.  I have a 'love themed' and a 'friendship' stamp set from There She Goes up for grabs so be sure to play along for your chance to win!

Can't wait to see what you do.

Inspired By... #58

It is time for another inspiration challenge and this week is a fun one.

I see a lot of potential with this one: colors, polka dots, sketch, embossed background, fashion...

I chose to go with the colors (surprised? hehehe)  I used my Family Ties collection by Pebbles as they were perfect!  I kept the design CAS just like the inspiration.  The twine is from Divine Twine.

I can't wait to see what you do!

Inspired By...#57

Welcome to another Inspired By Challenge.  Being that we are in the middle of winter I was inspired by this Wool Coat.

How will you be inspired by the photo: stripes, colors, texture, clothing, pocket... so many ways.

Believe it or not, this is not where I thought I would head when I was inspired but I am also needing to build up my Grad cards so that is where I ended up!  The paper is from Doodlebug, the hat is cut with my Locker Talk cricut cartridge and the stamps are from Paper Smooches.

I can't wait to see what you do.

Inspired By...#56

Well here we are in the year 2013!  I am looking forward to the upcoming year, how about you?

I thought an adorable winter photo would be a good one for this week and this snowman one was perfect.

What can you do with this photo?  snowmen, buttons, texture, knitting, two, the sketch, snow, winter... so many ways

I went with the colors and feel of the photo and inked up some new Papertrey Ink stamps (Knit Bits and Background Basics: Striped Sweater).  I also used my My Favorite Things snowflake and alphabet dies.  Finally tied it off with some May Arts Jute Twine.
Do you recognize anything?  Yes it is very similiar to my last weeks card isn't it?

Just a close up of all the texture on this card.

Since it is the first challenge of the month I have a prize up for grabs this week.

I can't wait to see what you do!

Inspired By...#55

I am back with another inspiration challenge for you.  I hope that everyone had a wonderful Christmas with friends and family.

Looking forward, New Year's Eve is coming up so I was inspired by this photo.

What can you do with this photo?  stars, strips, garland, colors, confetti...

I went with the feel and the stars of the photo. I mimicked the star garlands by sewing down some die cut stars and the negative die cut.  I saw a hint of blue in the photo so I also pulled that in.  I used my Fancy Pants The Good Life collection, along with some MFT Dies and the 'new year' was cut with my Silhouette.

We are hosting a quiet family gathering with my parents and a couple of the girls' friends for New Years.  What will you be doing?

This is also for the Cameo Creations Challenge - New Years.

Inspired By...#54

I love this vintage print and just had to use it as some inspiration.

Ways to take the inspiration: colors, Christmas, stripes, gifts, shopping, wreath, vintage...

I took the inspiration literally and used some of my older October Afternoon paper - Holiday Style.  I am need of more 'mailable' cards so I didn't add a lot of 'doodads' to this one.

I used this week's sketch from Unscripted Sketches:

Can't wait to see what you do!

Inspired By...#53

Here we go, the start of a new month and a new year of Inspired By Challenges!  Thank you to those of you who have been playing along, I always love seeing everyone's take on the inspiration.

Being December, I went with another holiday inspiration for you.

Such a clean & simple inspiration photo this week.  I can see using the grid, circles, wreaths, colors, a banner....

I went with the CAS and the wreath.  I used my PTI stamp A Wreath for All Seasons, some May Arts Jute twine and a pearl from Want2Scrap.  The main panel is on foam squares for dimension.  I am really trying to make more 'mailable' cards this year as most of mine tend to cost me a fortune to mail!

Since this is the first challenge of the month there will be a prize up for grabs.  This month some SEI goodies for you.

I am entering this into the 10 minute Craft Challenge (I think my card took about 5 minutes)

Can't wait to see what you do!

Inspired By... #49

When the weather cools off in the fall I always like to make some homemade soup for dinner, with some homemade bread.  Yum.  So that is where today's inspiration came from.

So where will you go with this one?  food, get well, circles, group of 3, colors...

I went with the colors of the photo and had fun creating this week's project.  I used my Tricks and Treats papers (yes, Halloween ones) from Pebbles, I love when papers can be used for so many things and I have said it before... I love this collection!  I used my Cricut to cut out the purse (Suburbia) and the roses (Art Philosophy).  I tucked a bit of some CTMH black tulle in with the roses.  The sentiment is from Unity.  Oh and the friend tag is an upcycled Maya Road tag that was attached to an album.  Wouldn't this card make a great gift card holder.

I can't wait to see what you create!

Welcome to another inspiration challenge.   I love the warm and cozy feel of this photo.

How will you be inspired?  Neutral colors, texture, picnic, books, coffee...

I used my Country Boutique collection by Fancy Pants along with some May Arts Woven Burlap ribbon and the Warm Happiness Too stamp by Papertrey Ink.  This went together so quickly as I used the packaging of the paper pack - haven't even cut the paper yet.  I also scored the kraft for some more texture.  This is for the Papercraft Star challenge - warm beverage.

I am also playing along in the CAS-ual Fridays challenge - kraft

The sketch is from CAS(e) this Sketch.

Now because it is the first challenge of the month I have a prize up for grabs.

Inspired By... #47

Pink is my favorite color, especially a nice soft pastel pink.  October is Breast Cancer Awareness month so I couldn't let October go by without some pink inspiration now could I?

How will it inspire you? color, typewriter, letter, roses, vintage, sketch?  I can't wait to see.

I was inspired by a few things, obviously the pink but also the vintage, the letters and my sketch is somewhat based on the sketch or layout of the photo.  I used my Crate Paper Little Bo Peep collection and some May Arts Jute Twine.

I am also playing along with the 365 Cards Challenge - B - mine is: bow, bird, blossom)

Inspired By...#45

I was really drawn to these milk containers and thought they would make such a great inspiration.

I love the retro feel, the text, the colors and the pennants on these... which way will you go?

I had a lot of ideas when I first pinned the picture but in the end I went with the pennant with a single word.  I used my cricut to cut out the word and backed it with some Country Pumpkin Chower by Jillibean Soup.  I then used a bit of May Arts Woven burlap ribbon, which I stretched out, along with a stamp from Technique Tuesday, some Jute twine and of course the buttons are from PTI.  The main panel is mounted of foam squares for dimension.

I am playing along with the following challenges:
The Pink Elephant - Fall inspiration
Die Cuttin Divas: Fall colors (for me orange, brown and kraft)
CASology: Leaf

I can't wait to see what you come up with.

Inspired By...#43

Well fall is in full swing and I am so happy because we have been having such gorgeous fall weather, I hope it continues!  The inspiration I have for you today is something that really caught my eye and said fall to me.

Now where will you go with this one? texture, acorn, fall, CAS, the neutral color pallette?  Can't wait to see.

I pulled out the acorn and went with the CAS look.  I used the acorn from a Paper Smooches Falling for You set and the sentiment is from a Technique Tuesday set.  The paper is Bella Blvd.  It is hard to tell in the photo but I also picked up the texture of the napkin by using textured cardstock.

I can't wait to see what you do!

Inspired By...#42

I really love this inspiration photo, it just makes me happy.  I would love to live somewhere that I could have this as a decoration in my yard - a nice country farmhouse...

So many elements in this photo: fall, pumpkins, leaves, distressing, the truck, numbers, signage, the colors...

This week I have a special guest!  Lauren plays along in so many of my challenges and she has the most wonderful projects!  I am so happy that she is joining me this week.  Now you must  visit Lauren's blog you won't be disappointed!

I love the creation Lauren has for us today, look at those pumpkins!

Thank you for joining me today Lauren.

For my project I dug into my Echo Park Chillingsworth Manor collection and went with the whole feel of the photo.  I have used some May Arts Net Ribbon, my much loved Woven Burlap ribbon and some Jute twine.

Now I can't wait to see what you do with this photo inspiration!

Inspired By #41

I know we are almost into fall, but we are still able to buy fresh local blueberries here so this Pinterest photo really caught my eye.

Ways to interpret this challenge: circle elements, food, the sketch, the colors, a distressed painted background...

I was drawn to the colors and I immediately thought of my Varsity collection by Jenni Bowlin, available at Jessica Sprague.  I made an 'officey' style card along with some matching bulldog clips.  I cut the tie and the letters with my cricut (Wrap it Up and Plantin Schoolbook).  The sentiment stamp is from PTI and the stickers are from Jillibean Soup.

I can't wait to see what you do!
